Bruce Cook

QT2 level 1 Coach

A life long athlete, Bruce began racing triathlon 16 years ago while working 12 hour days in finance and helping to raise a family. Learning to prioritize and make the most efficient use of training time was essential for him to maintain a healthy life balance. Prior to 2011, Bruce worked with several talented coaches who helped him learn and enjoy the journey from Sprints to Ironman. In mid-2011, a friend put Bruce in touch with QT2 and he started training with Coach DMac. In 2012 at IM CdA, he won his age group and qualified for Kona – both first time experiences. Since training with QT2, Bruce has qualified five times for the 70.3 IM World Championships and has qualified five times for the 140.6 IM World Championships. These results were achieved by following the QT2 protocol: developing both physical and mental durability and maintaining consistency in training. In 2015, Bruce left the world of finance and is now a coach with QT2. He wants to use his personal experience to help other athletes maximize their return on time training, racing and recovering to achieve their goals.
