Blue Seventy Carbo Load Breakfast, Ironman World Championships 2012

October 13, 2012

Customary for QT2 Systems the pre-race carbo-load breakfast is traditionally held the morning prior to any one of the numerous key team races held throughout the year. Because this morning's event just happened to be held the day before the Ironman World Championships it seemed to take on a bit more excitement.

Thanks to BlueSeventy who was gracious enough to sponsor this event. As a result, all of the QT2 Systems athletes, their friends and family were able to enjoy a huge pre-race feast including Pancakes, French toast, Scrambled Eggs and Toast.

What was unique this time, however, was the fact that the athletes were actually served by Ryan Vanderloop (marketing and sponsorship guru for BlueSeventy). It was all in good fun of course but with the intention of making the event more personal and helpful to the athletes considering there were so many and the restaurant was struggling to keep up with the demand!

In the end it was great to see everyone enjoying themselves and catching up with others who, in some cases, they haven't seen for months. It's pretty easy to spot the QT2 athletes as they had specially designed Kona 2012 qualifying t-shirts in green and pink.

We're looking forward to following our athletes all day today! They're ready to go! Remember to follow us on Twitter @QT2Systems and on Facebook for all of the latest race day updates
