Why I Chose QT2:

Jeanni Seymour got her start in athletics at a very young age and was highly competitive in an array of sports throughout primary school and high school. Jeanni competed in ballet, cross-country, track running, field hockey, netball, swimming, diving, cycling and touch rugby. With such a diverse background in athletics, a cousin suggested that Jeanni try a multisport event.

In 2011 she signed up for her first Ironman 70.3 race in East London, South Africa. She won her age group and qualified for the world championship in Las Vegas, USA, later that year.

With the support of her family, Jeanni took her elite racing license in order to pursue her dream of becoming a world-renowned triathlete. In 2012, she left the comfort of her home in South Africa and ventured to the United States. Specifically, Boulder, CO- a world famous hotbed for triathletes around the globe. With few friends, no mode of transportation and little money, these were the toughest months of her career to date. But Jeanni persevered and each year she shifted her schedule so she spent less time in South Africa and more time in Boulder.

Jeanni is now based full-time in Boulder, Colorado where she lives with her professional triathlete fiance, Justin Metzler. At the beginning of 2016 Jeanni was seeking a change in her coaching and partnered with the experienced Jesse Kropelnicki, founder of QT2 systems. Jeanni represents the Timex Multisport Team and has been a First Endurance sponsored athlete since 2013.

For now, Jeanni’s aspirations are intensely focused on the 70.3 distance. She aims to be one of the top ranked female professionals in the world and thrives on competing in the toughest races on the circuit
