Jesse Kropelnicki

Growing up I was always athletic, playing soccer and tennis throughout high school. I saved up to buy my first bike and soon after I was almost never without it. After entering college I began running and weight training. I spent the next two years reading books on weight training and nutrition as well as keeping food and training logs that tracked my performance. Also during this period, I worked at a nutrition supplement store recommending supplements and answering questions from customers. This helped me gain significant knowledge on supplements as well as real world nutrition knowledge from customers. I happened to catch a triathlon on television one day and could not stop thinking about how I would love to try one. During the summer of 1997 I found a triathlon in my area and signed up, after I crossed the finish line I knew I was hooked. Following that, I began to refocus one sport; triathlon. In 2000 at a body weight of approximately 190lbs I completed what I call my first real triathlon season as well as my first half ironman in a time of 6:05. Since then I kept extremely detailed records on every training plan and workout that I completed. Using these records, I developed detailed training and nutrition protocols that work. These protocols have been developed over years of trial and error and sport research. These are the same protocols that have now produced Ironman Champions and countless Kona qualifiers.

Based on these protocols, in 2005 I began creating QT2 Systems as a coaching outlet to those who have already gained the performance they can on their own, and are looking to make a performance jump as they did when they began the sport. My vision was to have a squad of coaches that were equally trained in the QT2 protocol of coaching as well as committed to detail. As I once heard; "if your coach can't tell you why you are doing a particular workout, get a new coach". In 2010 I created TheCoreDiet.com with a similar purpose to QT2: take athletic nutrition to the next level of detail with an equally trained squad of nutritionists.

What separates my coaching from many others is equal attention to nutrition/body composition, race fueling, training protocol, and race execution. My approach and that learned by the other QT2 coaches is very detail oriented giving consideration to all aspects of training, racing, and nutrition. My one-on-one coaching services are for 100% committed athletes that have significant potential or are currently racing at the professional level. If you feel you fit this description, I encourage you to contact me.

My nutrition and/or training service clients have included various Ironman Champions, USAT National Team Athletes, many elite age-group athletes (including over 15 Kona qualifiers), and even professional UFC fighters. My current pro athlete squad includes: Caitlin Snow (training/nutrition), Tim Snow (training/nutrition), Ethan Brown (training/nutrition), Jacqui Gordon (training/nutrition), Pedro Gomes (training/nutrition), Logan Franks (training/nutrition), and many more. I have presented on almost every aspect of training, racing, and nutrition over the last several years, am a regular contributor to Lava Magazine, and XTri.com, have been certified as a USAT Level III coach, NSCA CSCS and ACSM CpT. I was also invited to, and completed USAT's Elite Mentorship Program in Colorado Springs. Currently, I focus on continuing to be the best coach I can be for my athletes via logic, technology, science, or other means, and continue to educate the QT2 coaching and nutrition staff whenever/wherever I can.

When I'm not coaching, I continue to race with our QT2 Elite triathlon team and have completed over 150 triathlons since 2000. I live in Boston, MA with my wife Chrissie, and son, Colin.
