Nick is QT2's running mechanics specialist providing monthly clinics to help athletes run more efficiently and injury-free. Nick's background in running mechanics came from a history of chronic shin splints which forced him to work with medical professionals ranging from sports physicians, physical therapist, muscle activation technique therapist and instructors of multiple running mechanics theories. Nick evolved his understanding of running mechanics to allow himself to run injury free for more than eight years. Through weekly clinics, Nick has helped hundreds of runners resume their running careers injury free and faster. In 2010, Nick began work with Ithaca College's department of biomechanics in conjunction with physical therapists, sports physicians and exercise physiologists in the Central New York region to conduct research in the area of running mechanics, yielding papers that are currently being submitted. Nick will apply his research-based knowledge of running mechanics to help attendees of QT2's running mechanics clinics understand the concepts and the application of great running form. |
