Real World Pacing: Sprint To Ironman

Date: July 01, 2012
Time: 07:00 PM
Cost: $20

Description:

One of the most important components in all of endurance sports is pacing! One of QT2's Five Cornerstones, a well-considered plan for pacing a race effort is often overlooked by even the most prepared of athletes. Tools such as power meters, GPS devices, and HR Monitors, though potentially invaluable, are often under-utilized when needed most. In this webinar we will explore the process of developing a pacing plan based upon wattage and pace/speed, and when/why these should be replaced by a plan utilizing heart rate. Join us!

What You Will Learn:

(1) The process used to develop an appropriate pacing plan, based upon real training data. (2) How to utilize technological devices, such as power meters, GPS, and HR monitors in a pacing plan. (3) When and why heart rate should be used as the primary tool for pacing a race effort.
