After more than two years, the Boston Marathon is back! With the reduced field size and record low qualification times, this Boston Marathon is sure to be fast, furious, and full of excitement. Come prepared to race your best with this four-week webinar series, presented by The Run Formula Coaches and Boston Marathon veterans Beth Peterson, Michelle Fisher, and Reem Jishi. The Run Formula will also be joined by Team In Training’s National Coach and 10-time Boston finisher, Jon Falk.

Week 1 focuses on run technique. Coach Reem Jishi will provide you with some specific guidance on how to use video analysis to improve your running form. We will also discuss run-specific strength exercises and stretches.  

Week 2 looks at pre-race and race day fueling by Coach and Registered Dietitian Beth Peterson. How we race is closely tied to how we fuel. Months of diligent training can be easily undercut by poor race day nutrition. Learn the tips and tricks on how to nail your nutrition, so as to allow you to run your best race.

Week 3 focuses on the weeks, days, and hours leading up to race day. Getting the taper “right” is a critical part of training, and Coaches Michelle Fisher and Jon Falk will walk you through an overview of how to train and rest during those final weeks. Michelle and Jon will also do a detailed course preview and discussion of typical race day logistics.  

Week 4 turns to pacing strategies for training and racing. Coaches Reem Jishi and Jon Falk will cover the how to’s and pros and cons of pacing, based on Heart Rate, Rate of Perceived Exertion, Pace, and Power.
