Jennie Hansen

QT2 Level 1 Coach

Jennie grew up playing many sports before focusing her attention on cross country and track throughout high school and college, where she was never a standout, but always a workhorse.  Post-collegiately, a series of injuries prompted her to buy a bike and sign up for a triathlon in 2009.  She worked through her limited swim background and inexperience on the bike to rise through the age group ranks, eventually earning the opportunity to race at a professional level at the end of 2011.  Knowing that she would need top guidance on all aspects of triathlon training and racing (including recovery!), especially as she aimed to move up to the full Ironman distance, Jennie joined QT2 systems as an athlete in 2012.  Since then, under QT2’s guidance, she has amassed seven IM and IM 70.3 podium finishes, and has had all kinds of experiences training and racing around the world.

Jennie also holds a B.S. in Exercise Science and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University at Buffalo, and has been working as an outpatient orthopedic physical therapist since 2009.  Her love of triathlon and background in physiologyand functional anatomy made coaching a natural fit.  She enjoys using her knowledge and experience to guide athletes of all levels towards their goals, while ensuring that triathlon remains an enjoyable part of an athlete’s life balance.
